Lifelong Residents

Cuddles

12.5 years

Time with rescue: 12.5 years
Cuddles, her sister Wonders, and their brother were fostered by my aunt through the San Diego Humane Society in 2012 after they all were found orphaned. At 8 weeks old my parents adopted Cuddles and Wonders for me and my sister. Almost 13 years later, both ladies are still sweet and needy as ever.

Wonders

12.5 years

Time with rescue: 12.5 years
She and her sister Cuddles have lived with me since they were 8 weeks old. We have been in their lives since they were my aunt’s neonatal fosters.

Dayne

13 years

Time with rescue: 12 years

Dayne was found in an abandoned building as a puppy with his sister. They were both taken in by Coastal German Shepherd Rescue and my parents adopted Dayne as a companion for our rescue dog Hazel who has since crossed the rainbow bridge.

Felix

4 years

Time with rescue: 4 years

Felix was rescued with his mom Mystic and his siblings Basil, McLovin, and Effie from a junkyard after a storm. The neighbors confirmed Mystic was dumped and had her kittens there. Luckily, Mystic and McLovin were adopted together, Effie was adopted, and Felix and Basil were adopted by my sister.

Sibling of and bonded to Felix.

Miss Meows

~14 years

Time with rescue: 6 months

Miss Meows was found as a stray over a decade ago and taken in by a rescue. She was safe right? Wrong! Her adopter had her for 10 years then abandoned her in the apartment after the adopter moved out. She was then adopted again by someone who became addicted to drugs and neglected her. Finally, she came to us. She won’t ever lose her home again.
